Confession: I used to be a workaholic.
I worked 7 days a week, from morning to late night. I didn’t time it, but it was easily 105-hour weeks.
Now I only work 4 days a week.
I work 4 days a week, and that’s only possible because I:
You don’t just wake up one morning and start writing every day.
At least, that didn’t work for me. I would write, then forget. Then write for a couple of days, and forget.
Or I would feel overly ambitious and write 25 articles in one day, go completely braindead with migraine for 3 days and then take a long break from writing.
If you’ve done any of that, you know it doesn’t work.
The only way you will ever be able to write every day is by building a habit.
Sure, like me, you’ll be motivated at first.
Now you want to…
You start out. You’re on fire. But then…
Then all kinds of things. The project bores you. Or you doubt yourself.
If you haven’t formed a habit by then, you’ll stop writing.
There are many ways to form that habit.
For me, now, I write a course or PLR from 8 to 9.
Then I write emails to my lists from 9 to 10.
After that, I write blog posts, articles and notes.
At 1 pm, I stop working and the rest of the day, I either relax or do small things I want to do.
I’ve tried many things, like choosing to write at least for 5 minutes (which made me quit after 5 minutes). Or write at least 500 words (which made me quit after 500 words).
The ticking clock did it for me.
One clever way to make money online is to write about things you have.
Like if you’ve fallen in love with a tool that saves you time. Write about it. Use an affiliate link and make money if someone buys through your link. Remember to tell readers that it’s an affiliate link.
It’s a good place to start because you don’t have to do any (or much) research. And it can make you money.
