Affiliate marketing has earned a bad reputation.
You’ll often see people say, “This is not an affiliate link,” when they tell others about a product they like.
As if affiliates were dishonest and just after easy money.
Lots of affiliates only look at easy money.
They don’t care about their audience. They just want the sale. So, they’ll promote anything that will give them a big commission.
Since they promote a lot of products, and since they don’t care, they don’t test them before they promote.
That’s why affiliate marketers have a reputation at the height of a child of a snake oil vendor and a used-car salesman.
If you find this unfair, I can’t blame you.
It’s the dark side of affiliate marketing.
But there’s a silver lining, too.
While the snake oil vendor’s son burn through his audience at the speed of a dynamite stick that is lit at both ends, you can be different.
You can stand out by promoting only things you love and use yourself.
Living living life on your terms is all about doing what you love.
One of the easiest and best things you can do to make money, is to become an affiliate for things you already own and use.
